In front of a disaster

  At the end of October 1998, Hurricane Mitch invited itself under the tropics. It took his unprecendented viloence out through the Central American countries.
  For Honduras, results were terrible.

  Thousands of people disappeared, cities and villages destroyed and the economy touched at 80%.
  Espoir sans Frontières reacted, aware of its
modest assistance in front of these 70 000 Refugees.

How to get organized ?

New contact with the Salesian Sisters. They receive within their schools about 4000 displaced people and refugees.

Reception of containers



Availability of stocking rooms which shelter the primary emergency merchandises imported by Espoir.
 

Check of the beneficiaries, support for the distribution, numerous interventions on devastated places.
 
A doctor Espoir sans Frontières to  assess the human traumas.
