General Hospital of Bata
The continental part of Equatorial Guinea
On January 1997, The french Ministry of Cooperation suggested to Espoir sans Frontières to take charge of the rehabilitation programme of a multidisciplinary medecine Wing within the General Hospital of Bata.The aim was to reopened a Unit of 50 beds, which had been abandonned for several years, thanks to a rehabilitation of buildings, of hospital, medical and surgical equipment, thanks to the creation of a medical laboratory, of a radiology unit, of an efficient surgical unit, and thanks to the complementary trainings of doctors, care staff, and cleaning staff.
